I was so thrilled to finally get a wedding at Larmer Tree Gardens. Based in Salisbury, it has to be the most unique venue I have ever photographed. Mainly down to its quirky features & huge stunning gardens. For an outdoor ceremony, this is right up there in my recommendations. The bridal preparations were not far from the venue in a beautiful rented cottage called ‘Magna Cottage’. It was a full house with 6 bridesmaids, MOB & hair & makeup artist, so there certainly wasn’t dull moment. Although I did feel rather outnumbered!
Being a May wedding there is nothing better than having long days to work with. It makes things a lot more relaxed & less rushed, so wasn’t too concerned by the late ceremony time of 15:30, as the weather forecast was perfect all day.
The ceremony was outside using the stunning Roman Temple, followed by reception drinks on the main lawn outside the Singing Theater. The wedding breakfast was held at the Pavilion, followed by cake cutting at Lower Indian Room…I did say this place was quirky! By having the option of many beautiful locations within one venue, made this wedding very special & unique from all the rest. Not to mention wild Peacocks roaming the venue, being a big feature!
Here a just a handful of photos from Jay & Charlottes wedding.
