I've lived on the South Coast in Hampshire all my life. I have been married since 2005 & in June 2019 we become proud parents to our amazing little boy Jonah! Besides photography, I absolutely love music! From chilling out to Bon Iver or head banging to Pearl Jam; it plays a big inspirational part in my photography life. When i'm not watching 'Hey Duggee' I love being absorbed in a good movie with a cracking Thomas Newman or Hans Zimmer soundtrack.
I love exploring new places & have always been taken back by beautiful landscapes. Tall trees or Cornish coastlines give me a great sense of calm. Iceland is definitely on the bucket list!
Photographer, artist, father, inspired by music, a well made flat white light, and you.
BEHIND THE LENS
Your wedding day will be a day of moments. Those hilarious, emotional, calm-before-the-storm hours getting ready with your closest friends. The first time you see each other at the ceremony, hearts skipping a beat, butterflies in your stomachs. Your first kiss, your first dance. And all the little moments too. The hand-squeezes under the table, the stolen glances, the secret kisses.
They’re all the moments you’ll want to relive again and again, because they’re what’ll make your day so special. And they’re the moments I want to capture for you.
My APPROACH
— Albin & Hattie
For couples looking for an authentic journal of their wedding day, we could not recommend Paul more highly.
Photography has always been a passion from a young age, ever since owning my first compact digital camera, which was long before Instagram, iPhones & Social media! Its the obsession of having that ability to freeze time! To be that person capturing that one moment you can look back on forever.
I got married back in 2005. A time when wedding photography was very different compared to today. Styles were limited & the term documentary wedding photographer wasn't really heard of. Even though we had the best day ever, all our pictures are staged. I remember our photographer posing us for our cake cut photo, long before the official cake cut! There was no story, no guests around us, more just ticking that one off the list. And so when I documented my first wedding in 2013 I made it my goal to create in the moment memories that you can relive.
Before becoming a full time photographer I was a purchasing manager within the marine industry. A job I enjoyed & taught me some valuable skills, although since photographing my first wedding I was hooked. I then went full time in 2016. I truly believe I have one of the best jobs in the world!
I feel truly privileged doing what I love for a living. As an introverted person, Photography allows me to express my personality & gives me a confidence I never had before. I get to meet awesome people & have made some great friends along the way. With that, being invited to document special moments in peoples lives, that they will cherish forever, is super rewarding!
