Wadhurst Castle Wedding Photographer

Wedding

George and Jenna’s Wadhurst Castle Wedding

I just had to feature this gorgeous September wedding at Wadhurst Castle. Being a 3 hour drive it was the first time hearing of Wadhurst & being a castle was super excited to get this unique opportunity.

The venue was quite vast with stunning hill top views & the vintage styling you would expect from a 19th century listed building. Working on my own for this one I definitely exceeded my daily steps!

Everything was at the venue, including a cottage onsite for the groom & his best men to get ready.

Thanks again George & Jenna for having me there to capture your special wedding day moments.

If you’re interested in working with me for your Wadhurst Castle wedding, you can check if i’m available here.

About the venue:

Tucked away in the rolling hills of East Sussex, Wadhurst Castle offers a magical setting for couples looking to celebrate their love in a historic and elegant environment. With its sprawling gardens, panoramic views, and stunning 19th-century architecture, this private castle provides an ideal backdrop for a wedding day that is as romantic as it is unforgettable.

Wadhurst Castle’s architectural splender sets it apart as a wedding venue. Its Gothic-style battlements, grand windows, and stately stone walls give the castle a timeless feel, allowing photographers to capture images that are both elegant and cinematic. The castle’s historic charm ensures that every photo taken on the grounds exudes a sense of romance and grandeur.

Wadhurst Castle is surrounded by 140 acres of private grounds, featuring beautifully manicured gardens, rolling lawns, and panoramic views of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. These outdoor spaces are perfect for both formal portraits and candid shots, allowing photographers to use natural light and vibrant greenery to create stunning, ethereal images.

One of the most magical times for wedding photography at Wadhurst Castle is during the golden hour—just before sunset when the light is soft and warm. The castle’s elevated position allows for stunning sunset views across the countryside, creating the perfect setting for romantic couple portraits.

Wadhurst Castle offers couples an extraordinary setting for their wedding day, with its combination of historic grandeur, breathtaking gardens, and intimate indoor spaces. For photographers, it’s a venue that provides endless opportunities to capture authentic, meaningful moments in a way that feels both elegant and personal.

I've lived on the South Coast in Hampshire all my life. I have been married since 2005 & in June 2019 we become proud parents to our amazing little boy Jonah! Besides photography, I absolutely love music! From chilling out to Bon Iver or head banging to Pearl Jam; it plays a big inspirational part in my photography life. When i'm not watching 'Hey Duggee' I love being absorbed in a good movie with a cracking Thomas Newman or Hans Zimmer soundtrack.

I love exploring new places & have always been taken back by beautiful landscapes. Tall trees or Cornish coastlines give me a great sense of calm. Iceland is definitely on the bucket list!

Photographer, artist, father, inspired by music, a well made flat white light, and you.
